 Back by popular demand . . . . . Kayla & Steve are headed back to Gladys Knight's Chicken & Waffles Bistro in Suwannee, GA This time they will be joined on upright bass by none other than the legendary Neal Stark  ey. If you've never had a chance to hear Neal, then take this opportunity. He's been playing in this town forever and is a phenomenal talent. Come on out to the 'burbs and enjoy some fabulous Chicken, Waffles and terrific jazz and standards. Kayla Is making her debut at Sambuca this THURSDAY NIGHT (3/26). Ron James's band is playing and they've invited Kayla to be the special guest vocalist for the night. This is an opportunity to see Kayla on a really cool stage and to hang out with Steve in the audience, which you'll rarely see him do since 99.9% of the time he is on stage with Kayla. Plus, the more folks come out the better chance that Kayla & Steve will be able to book their own combo there in the future! Cover charge is $10 and dinner reservations are most definitely accepted and recommended. Come on out and join the fun and root our little songbird on!  SPRING HAS SPRUNG! Join Kayla & Steve tonight (3/21) at Stoney River Cumberland Mall and celebrate with a fabulous Pomegranite Passion Martini. Stoney River wants you to know that they can accomodate anyone's dietary needs. Lets say you like Steak - but your date wants something lighter . . . . well, my friends . . . . enter the Sauteed Sea Bass. Ponder this . . . fresh sea bass in a coconut-lemongrass reduction with sautéed shiitake mushrooms, red pepper, ginger and cilantro - its fresh, delicious and could be the thing your date is looking for. Maybe there's a friend of yours that will join you at Stoney River who is a vegetarian (it happens) . . . w  ith so many fresh veggies on the menu and delicious salads - they should feel right at home and be able to choose with ease.Kayla & Steve are playing tonight from 6pm - 9pm. She'll be playing with Ron James and his fabulous line up of musicians. Steve won't be playing but he'll be there in the audience to root Kayla on. Come hang out. Cover charge is $10. Tables are available right in front of the band. Sambucca is a beautiful dinner club right in the heart of Buckhead.There are 2 show times: 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm. menu in town. THIS SATURDAY NIGHT Stoney River is featuring a new martini: APPLE BOURBON MARTINI. Think warm apple pie (hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, apples) with Bourbon! This is the perfect drink to keep you warm while you listen to jazz by the fire in the lounge.
We have been grateful and very blessed to have Pat with us for over 5 years. He is remarkably talented and a great friend. Unfortunately, his day job in Atlanta came to an end and he had to seek employment elsewhere. Well . . . that led him to Orlando, Florida. We're all very sad to see him go, but certainly understand his desire to eat on a regular basis. Gratefully, Pat appeared on both of the jazz albums that we put out and so we have that to treasure until he finds his way back to Atlanta. Please join us in wishing Pat all the best. We'll miss you Pat!

First up . . . . we'll be at Oakhurst Jazz Nights at Scottish Rite on Thursday evening, September 18 from 7p - 9p. This is a great venue and the concert will be outside on the lawn . . . . . . Well, Lucy has been on the prowl for all news about Kayla Taylor Jazz and let me tell you . . . . Kayla and Steve are back at Aqua Blue and Stoney River this weekend as the "Jazzy Little Duo that Rocks". Not to be missed . . . so come on out and just a little note - Steve is now wireless so he can roam just like our songbird, Kayla, can. So if you'd like to have him table side while he's performing . . . . you could probably wave something green at him (dimension of "something green" = 2.61" x 6.14") and he'll jump right over. fyi - the same trick apparently works for Kayla, too. ; )
